Laurel High School has earned distinction as a Superior School by the Delaware Department of Education and most recently as one of America's Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report. Our students have been recognized for their school and community service, sportsmanship, and performance in the classroom and on the competition field. Laurel High School students consistently demonstrate our core values; Discipline, Achievement, Work Ethic, Goals, and Service (D.A.W.G.S.).

Laurel High School has a wide range of activities for students including athletics, and career opportunities. Students can earn up to seven credits per year. The curriculum is extensive, challenging and quite diverse with classes ranging from the basic core subjects to Advanced Placement. We offer Advanced Placement courses in Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Language and Composition, Literature, and Psychology.

Extra curricular activities include many varsity sports such as field hockey, football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, track and golf. Our school features career pathways in the following areas; Visual and Performing Arts, Plant and Soil Science, Construction Trades, Marketing, Criminal Justice, and Early Childhood Education.
